About Us:

www.moviesforbreakfast.com is a labour of love with a mandate to celebrate movies from Hollywood to Bollywood, champion the British Columbia motion picture industry, and entertain and interact with filmmakers and moviegoers alike. We know that indulging a passion for movies and taking an informed interest in the world's health and well-being are not mutually exclusive pursuits.

Who We Are:

Writer-photographer Beth McArthur is a second generation Vancouverite who, after immersing herself in theatre in London, England for two years and discovering Toronto for three years, came home and studied writing and publishing at Simon Fraser University. She has written about movies, including for the Georgia Straight and Shared Vision, for ten years. Her interview subjects have included Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, Woody Allen, George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Brad Pitt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Anne Wheeler, Callum Keith Rennie, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Susan Sarandon, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Denzel Washington, Hugh Grant, Robin Williams, and Peter O'Toole. The film that hooked her as a kid was Serpico and her favourite movies are ... And Justice For All and Jane Eyre (with Joan Fontaine and Orson Welles).

Web designer and photographer Konstantin Balikoev is a native of Kyiv, Ukraine who served for four years as a military interpreter in Afghanistan after graduating from the Military Institute of Foreign Languages in Moscow with a degree in linguistics. His favourite film is Leonid Gaidai 's Russian comedy Diamond Hand and his dream photographic subject would be director Alexander Payne [ Sideways ], whose work he greatly admires.

Frida is the www.moviesforbreakfast.com banner tabby. She is 3 years old and enjoys watching The Simpsons and the 11:00 news.
